About Avila Hot Springs

Discovered in 1907 by, at the time, unlucky oil drillers, Avila was established by the Budan Family.  It is a popular visitor-serving, natural, artesian mineral hot springs oasis at the gateway to Avila Beach and Port-San Luis Harbor. Historic Avila Hot Springs offers today's visitors cabin camping and dry tent camping,  - all just 2 miles from the beaches and next to the Bob Jones Bike Trail. All year long, Avila's protected southerly location offers some of the best weather on the Central Coast.

Come kick back, and beat the heat relaxing in the shade of the palm trees and ocean breezes. Enjoy all the funky fun and convenience Avila Hot Springs is known for, including group picnic and BBQ facilities, heated freshwater pool with double slides, hot mineral soaking pool, massage therapy, and Wally's Bike Rentals with access to bike trails.
